Through the Wormhole🪄: Who Is Driving?

Ancient people did not see an eclipse as just another night or day. When the light suddenly disappeared, it was a big deal. It was often seen as a message from the heavens, an omen signaling big changes for kings, nations, crops, cattle, and pretty much everything people depended on to survive. They tracked and recorded eclipse events, passing what they learned from one generation to the next.

Kingdoms and kings could rise and fall under the shadow of an eclipse. In some traditions, kings were removed, and in some cases, they even died. Eclipses were especially watched when it came to kings and leaders because rulers were believed to carry a greater weight of the eclipse omen in their birth charts.

So, preparations were even made to protect kings. In some Mesopotamian traditions, when an eclipse was seen as a significant omen for the king, a “substitute king” would temporarily take the throne. The real king would step away while the dangerous omen was believed to pass.

Indian/Vedic traditions also carry beautiful eclipse stories, myths, and observations passed down through generations. The story of the head and tail of the dragon gives eclipses another layer of mystery, connecting them with light, shadow, and karma.

Maybe this is part of why, through the passing of ancient knowledge and traditions, eclipses became associated with fate, karma, the reincarnation cycle, and the energies of both past and future lifetimes.

How did “light” become the heart of the story when the heavens decide to hide it?

Light itself is considered auspicious, and during eclipses, its illuminating and nourishing qualities are temporarily disrupted. An eclipse temporarily obscures our luminaries’ light, which is why it has traditionally been interpreted as a disruption of the natural cosmic order.

Eclipses are considered an assault on that life-giving light. Ordinary light allows us to clearly see the world. When an eclipse obscures the light, shadow material can rise, like hidden truths, karmic patterns, and sudden revelations. What appeared stable could suddenly shift.

Are we really done when we slide into September?

After the August 12th, 2026 Solar eclipse, we Stargazers have been checking in with each other to see if any of us have a new scar, or perhaps a new gift from past-life action from the heavens. Meanwhile, we might receive the possibly electrifying illumination of the August 27/28, 2026 Full Moon eclipse. (Eclipse Tips at the end)

So, no, we are not done yet. We have a bold fall season ahead of us, seasoned with this eclipse flavor, and that needs its own pages.

Regarding the general timeline, Solar eclipse events can unfold over two to three years, depending on the length of the Solar eclipse. The length of a Lunar eclipse is generally translated into months, often around six months. Everyone’s timeline will be different depending on our personal birth charts. Some people may feel it quickly, while for others, the story may unfold much later in the years, yet suddenly.

Some individuals might not be affected much at all by a particular eclipse. They may instead find themselves watching loved one’s experience life-altering changes and adjustments, and being there to help them navigate and organize the adjustments.

The heavens repeat themes, not exact events. The planets and stars may change their positions, but the story can sometimes rhyme.

What started, on average, 19–20 years ago? Not the same energy or story, but some themes may feel strangely familiar.

Who is driving?

Past or future?

Probably both.

When an eclipse story is activated, we may think we are on cruise control, powered by our own will, until we suddenly realize we cannot switch back to manual. We are traveling through a wormhole or a water slide with potent gravity, moving so fast that our feet are searching for the brake pedal, but there is none.

At times, the universe seems to have its own steering wheel.

When the Unexpected Becomes the Gift

Eclipses can be very rewarding events if we stay flexible and do not become too fixed in our ways. They can bring many old dreams to life at surprising speed. Things we wanted but probably forgot about, or never dared to pursue, can suddenly happen within a month, a year and a half, or even two years.

Suddenly moving countries, finding a marriage partner, receiving a promotion, retiring, or becoming parents. Many of these normal human experiences can be sped up by eclipse-driven timing. This can bring greatness into our destiny, especially when we have lost the courage to live the life we secretly desire.

We have to trust and surrender that the universe has our best interest in mind, promising, “Not necessarily what we want, but what we need will be given.” We all know surrendering is not pretty most of the time, especially when we have to surrender things that are dear to us, whatever they may be.

Eclipse times are traditionally not used for manifestation. What we ask, wish, and pray for can come with a catch that might not be in our best interest in the long run. It is the energy of “but.”

My dream came true, but this problem came with it.

Sometimes our desires can come with a price.

That is why our wishes and desires during an eclipse should be more focused on clarity rather than desire for manifestation.

We might not want to start new big projects, sign important agreements, or try to magnify our desires

The Energy Just Needs Somewhere to Go: Resetting Body, Mind & Energy

When light is dimmed, we are forced to rely a little more on our other senses besides our eyes, the ones we may have neglected or never learned to use. Our bodies and vitality can be affected too. We might feel tired, lethargic, emotional, or simply low on energy.

There are so many healing modalities that can help us reconnect with those senses. Energy work, body work, meditation, breathwork, and other practices can give the nervous system an outlet and help us come back to ourselves while navigating life.

It is us who will have to sit in the discomfort long enough to listen and know our desires.

The heavens speak in their own language. The stars offer symbols, and sometimes those symbols may even contradict each other. That is where translation helps reveal our story.

Eclipse Tips

Keep your crystal inside during eclipse days. Take a real salt bath. Meditate. Fast, or eat lightly and healthily. Reduce exposure to eclipse light.

Cleansing, organizing, and getting rid of old things are great eclipse activities. Clean your house, garage, closets, car, or office desk. Eclipses very often result in a lack of energy and motivation.

Don’t start anything important until the Moon leaves the sign in which the eclipse occurred. ♾️
